KATHMANDU: Two persons died in two road accidents in the Kathmandu Valley on Wednesday. Shailendra Shakya (41) died on Wednesday after a motorcycle he was riding on (Ba 9 Pa 6473) was hit by a water tanker (Ba 3 Kha 2835) in front of a Honda showroom in Thapathali. Shakya of Lalitpur Sub-Metropolitan City-16 was severely injured in the incident. He died on his way to the Norvic Hospital where he was being taken for treatment. Police said they have impounded the vehicle and arrested the driver. Similarly, a 24-year-old Chandra Bahadur Gole died after falling off the roof of a bus (Ba 3 Kha 4089) heading to Phuladulung from Chapagaun of Chandandanda Municipality of Lalitpur. Gole of Khajulibesi, Milche-2 of Kavre died on the spot as his head banged onto a stone soon after falling off the bus, police said. Police said they have impounded the vehicle and arrested the driver. Investigation into both the cases is underway, informed police.
