Deuba files candidacy ahead of Sitaula, Paudel

KATHMANDU: Among three contenders of Nepali Congress presidency race, party's senior leader Sher Bahadur Deuba became first to file candidacy for the election, on Thursday afternoon. Deuba authorised party Central Working Committee member Ramesh Lekhak and sent him to the party headquarters Sanepa to file the candidacy while the inauguration ceremony was going on in Khulamanch of Kathmandu. While Lekhak registered the nomination on behalf of Deuba at around 2:45 pm, other two presidential contenders - Ram Chandra Paudel and Krishna Prasad Sitaula - are yet to file the names officially.
