SIMARA: Bijay Youth Club of Hetauda advanced to the quarter-finals of the seventh Ruslan Simara Gold Cup Football Tournament with a 1-0 victory over hosts Nava Janajagriti Youth Club here on Thursday. Sunil BK scored the solitary goal of the match in the 55th minute following a pass from Bimal Rana. Bijay Club came close to double the tally in the 66th minute but Sunil Bal struck against the cross bar from the spot. Bijay had earned the penalty after Nava Janajagriti’s Marshal handled the ball inside the box. Goalscorer BK received the man-of-the-match trophy. On Friday, Birgunj United Club will take on Sahara Club of Pokhara.
