NYON: UEFA has appointed Theodore Theodoridis as interim general secretary to replace newly elected FIFA President Gianni Infantino. Theodoridis has been promoted from his role as Infantino's deputy since 2010. The Greek official joined UEFA in 2008 with special responsibility for relations with member federations. UEFA says its executive committee confirms no potential presidential election to replace Michel Platini will begin until his legal process to challenge his ban at the Court of Arbitration for Sport is completed. UEFA says it will decide Kosovo's application for membership at a May 3 congress in Budapest, Hungary. UEFA has also advanced plans to introduce goal-line technology in its competitions. It will operate at the Champions League and Europa League finals in May.
