Dhangadhi, March 6 Campus Road and Hasanpur registered victories in the Sagarmatha Cement Dhangadhi Cricket League–III here on Sunday. Campus Road defeated Attariya by 15 runs, while Hasanpur beat Santositole by 48 runs at the SSP Cricket grounds. In the first match, Campus Road scored 127-9 in 20 overs and packed Attariya for 112 runs in 19.1 overs. Campus Road did not start well as they lost two quick wickets, openers Roman Bam (six) and Parash Rawal (two) were back to the pavilion with just 13 runs on the board in four overs. Santosh Bhatt and Saroj Ayer added 29 runs for the third wicket before the latter was out for nine runs. Bhatt stayed firm at one end and he paired with Rajan Sherchan to share a 42-run partnership for the fourth wicket. Bhatt top scored with 44 off 26 balls that included five fours and two sixes. Once Bhatt was dismissed in the 14th over, Campus Road lost the remaining wickets cheaply. Lokesh Bam (16) and Narayan Joshi (15) were the other batsmen to score in double digits. Mahaboob Aalam claimed three wickets for Attariya, while Bhuwan KC and Nabin Bhandari took two wickets each. In reply, Attariya made a disastrous start losing opener Aalam (naught) in the last ball of the innings and they were reeling at 27-3 by the sixth over as they lost two more wickets — Sailesh Kathayet (three) and Gyanendra Kunwar (11). Naresh Bohara and Bhuwan KC consolidated the innings with a 68-run stand for the fourth wicket but that too was not enough for them. After the fall of KC for 19 runs in the 16th over, Attariya lost last six wickets for 17 runs. Bohara top scored for Attariya with 35 off 24 balls that included three fours and a six. Shiva Raj Ayer claimed three wickets for Campus Road, while Sagar Bhandari took two. In another match, Hasanpur were bowled out for 111 in 19.4 overs and restricted Santositole for 63 runs in 17.1 overs. In a low-scoring match, Bhim Sarki top scored for Hasanpur with 29 runs, while Prakash Thapa made 12. Hasanpur received 29 runs in sundries. Roshan Adhikari was the pick of the Santositole with 5-11 from 3.4 overs, while Amit Budha took two wickets. In reply, Hasanpur bowlers kept Santositole batsmen under pressure from the beginning and took wickets at regular interval. Opener Bijay Rana (13) was the lone Santositole batsman to score in double figures. Prakash Thapa returned with 4-9 from four overs for Hasanpur, while Binod Lama took three wickets and Amit Paudel grabbed two wickets.
