BHAKTAPUR: A Nepal Army (NA) personnel was killed after a tipper hit the motorcycle he was riding on at Gaththaghar in Madhyapurtimi Municipality-15 on Sunday. The deceased has been identified as Rajendra Rai (37), a lance corporal deployed in the Hetauda-based Suparitar Central Division Brigade, informed Deputy Superintendent of Police (DSP) Prabin Lal Shrestha. A hotelier, Keshav Bhandari (22) of Lamosanghu in Sindhpalchowk, drove the tipper (Ba 3 Kha 7835) in high speed and hit the motorcycle (Ba 58 Pa 7948) when the tipper driver was dining in Bhandari’s hotel at Pepsicola. Bhandari is absconding after the incident while the police impounded the tipper, DSP Shrestha said.
