KATHMANDU: The female inmates of Sundhara-based Central Jail have demanded the setup of a child care centre in the central jail. At a programme organised by the Prisoners Assistance Nepal at the central jail on the occasion of 106th International Women's Day on Thursday, they called for the arrangement of such centres within the prison premises as inmates are compelled to keep their children with them in the jail. PAN Chairperson Indira Ranamagar distributed fruits and biscuits to the inmates of the jail as a part of the celebration of Women's Day. Most of the women prisoners in the jail have complained that the jail accommodating women beyond its capacity has created inconvenience to them.
