KATHMANDU: The Commission for Investigation of Abuse of Authority (CIAA) has arrested a section officer at the Department of Foreign Employment (DoFE) with money taken as a bribe from a service recipient. Section Officer at the DoFE Uttam Prasad Kharel was arrested on Friday with Rs. 100,000 he took as bribe for allegedly resolving the case of a person under custody on a case related to foreign employment, according to CIAA Spokesperson Krishna Hari Puskar. The arrest was made possible based on a tip-off. Further investigation is underway, the CIAA informed.
