With 1MB Sugam Pokhrel came to limelight. The very first album introduced the one-man band Sugam as a good singer. The album was a huge success and after a year, he released his second album ‘Highway’. Nowadays Sugam is busy publicising his latest album ‘Highway’ and is receiving good feedback from fans too. Like ‘1MB’, ‘Highway’ also has a good market.
When asked about his third album, he says, “I am preparing for it but at present I am concentrating on ‘Highway’. Let’s see where ‘Highway’ will take me and then I will decide the name of my third album.”
He is also busy shooting for a national song from Tas Studio at Boudha. There are altogether 10-12 singers who are in the music video. Mohan Bhusal, Nabin K Bhattarai, Anil Singh, and Sanjeev Singh to name a few.
The song is supposed to be shot in Boudha but a source tells that Sanjeev will have his part shot in Swayambhu. Why? Sanjeev lives in Chabahil and has some trouble brewing with some youth living in Boudha.
With this national song, Sugam is also keen to add a bonus track to ‘Highway’. “The added track will be a national song only. It will be about the present situation of the country,” informs Sugam.
His solo concert unveils in Kathmandu on March 13 at Birendra International Convention Centre. If all goes well then he next flies to Australia for his concert together with other artistes in mid-April.
On the personal front, Sugam shares, “I am mentally prepared to be a father.”
