Police raid lawmaker Lama’s house

KATHMANDU: Police on Monday raided the residence of Unified CPN-Maoist lawmaker Lharkyal Lama in Kathmandu today but did not find any contraband there. READ ALSO
Spokesperson for Kathmandu Metropolitan Police Range SP Pradhumna Karki said police would continue to raid suspected places to gather evidences. Lama was arrested on Sunday after 14 bullets were seized from his bank locker at Durbar Marg based Nepal Investment Bank Pvt Ltd. He was ordered to custody for five days on Sunday by Kathmandu District Administration Office. Lama faces a criminal case under Arms and Ammunition Act. Karki said Lama would be questioned in the presence of the government attorney on Tuesday.
