HETAUDA: Makawanpur police on Sunday arrested two convicts who had been on the run. The arrestees have been identified as Tara Bahadur Gorkhali Magar, 46, of Bhimfedi and Bhesh Bahadur Adhikari, 37, of Manahari. They were held from their homes by separate police teams dispatched from Bhimfedi and Manahari area police offices. While the district court had handed down four years’ jail term and Rs 5,000 fine to Magar about three years ago over a thrashing case, Adhikari was slapped seven-and-a-half years prison term and a fine of around Rs 64,000 on a timber smuggling case.
