KATHMANDU: Police said three drug peddlers have been arrested in possession of drugs from various parts of Kathmandu on Friday. Roshan Newar (26) of Khare VDC-8 of Dolakha district currently residing in Kupandol of Lalitpur Sub-Metropolitian City and Rabindra Shakya of Lalitpur Sub-Metropolitian City-20 were arrested with a huge cache of pharmaceutical drugs. Similarly, Subash Shakya (33) of Lalitpur Sub-Metropolitian City-20, residing at Dallu in KMC-15 was arrested with various kinds of controlled drugs. Meanwhile, police recovered 13 kg hashish hidden inside toys meant to be transported to Holland from Arina Enterprises based in Chhetrapati of KMC-17. The toys were supposed to be couriered to Peter Guver in Holland by the one named Sirjan Lama of Sitapaila. Police were tipped-off about the smuggling and they recovered the drug in the following action. Police said they are looking into the case.
