District court acquits Ang Kaji Sherpa

KATHMANDU: Federal Socialist Forum-Nepal leader Ang Kaji Sherpa, who faced charges under Electronic Transactions Act, 2008, was acquitted by the Kathmandu District Court on Sunday. The verdict was delivered by a bench of Judge Hari Pratap KC. Sherpa was detained for 16 days and indicted under Electronic Transactions Act, 2008 after posting angry remarks on his facebook wall. The government had accused him of inciting ethnic tension.
