7 held with contraband drugs in Makwanpur

HETAUNDA: Police on Saturday arrested seven persons with possession of contraband drugs from various parts of Makwanpur district. A police team deployed from the Area Police Office, Pashupatinagar, arrested two persons with possession of pharmaceutical drugs from a TATA Sumo (Na 1 Ja 2105), heading towards Hetaunda from Birgnj, at Ratomate Police Check Post. The suspects have been identified as Bikash Aryal (27) of Birgunj Sub-Metropolitan City-9 and Bishwo Bhandari of KMC-23. Police said that they have confiscated 60 pieces of Nitrovat tablets from their possession. Similarly, a police team deployed from the Area Police Office, Pashupatinagar, nabbed two persons with 60 pieces of nitrovat tablets from a bus (Na 1 Ja 5270), enroute to Hetaunda from Birgunj, at Ratomate. The suspects have been identified as Kamal Shrestha (25) aka Bikas of Mahendranagar-9 of Sunsari and Akash Koirala (22) of Baneshwor-4, Kathmandu, the District Police Office, Makwanpur informed. Likewise, a police team dispatched from the District Police Office, Makwanpur, apprehended a man with possession of nine gram marijuana from Hetaunda-2. The arrestee has been identified as Sunny Rajthala (27) of Hetaunda-1. During the interrogration, Rajthala said that he had bought the marijuana from Raj Kumar Kharek aka Raj Kumar Shahi. Based on Rajthala's information, a police team carried out a raid at Kharek's room and nabbed him with 85 grams of Marjuana and a bullet. Meanwhile, police arrested a Tata Sumo (Na 1 Ja 2046) driver with possession of 400 grams of marijuana. The detainee has been identified as Sano Bhai Nepali (34) of Dhapakhel-24, Lalitpur.
