KBL opens new ATM

KATHMANDU: Kumari Bank Ltd (KBL) has started ATM service in Pokhara. Ajad Shrestha, third

vice-president of FNCCI inaugurated the ATM at Chipledhunga, Pokhara. Sanjeev Sainju, Pokhara branch manager said that free Visa Electron Debit cards would be issued to all its clients with no charges. The debit card can be used in Nepal Investment Bank’s ATM and other Visa ATMs. — HNS

New LG mobile phone

KATHMANDU: C G Impex Pvt Ltd, a trading arm of Chaudhary Group, has introduced LG Mobile

phone to its range of LG consumer electronics. LG mobile phone, the latest innovation, has launched two models- C-1100 and G-1600. They have features like 65K colour screen display, 200X5 field phone book memory, voice memo of 20 seconds, 1MB shared memory, 7-caller groups and 250 SMS memory. LG plans to launch three more hi-tech models very shortly, which will have more features like digital camera and FM radio also. — HNS

TAAN meet concludes

KASKI: The 12th general assembly of Trekking Agents Association of Nepal (TAAN), Pokhara chapter concluded here on Sunday. Deepak Mahat, president of TAAN stressed on the need of new programmes for increasing the number of domestic tourists. He said that the internal tourism would be a good support for checking a slide in over-all tourism industry. — RSS

SYANGJA: Putaali Bazar municipality has started raising integrated tax from this fiscal year. According to Humnath Sharma, the municipality decided to raise the tax after extensive interaction to utilise the resources for development works. — RSS
