BIRGUNJ: Former Prime Minister and Coordinator of the Naya Shakti Nepal, Baburam Bhattarai, said that Hinduism could be revived as the state religion in the country if people wanted. He made the statement during a press conference organised by the Naya Shakti Nepal Parsa chapter in Birgunj on Saturday. The new Constitution adopted secularism as it was a fundamental part of democracy, he added. He, however, went on to say that the Constitution could be amended with the time as per need. Stating that the issues of Madhes were the problems of all, he said that the need of hour was to address the demands of Madhes by amending the Constitution. Moreover, Bhattarai said that the Naya Shakti Nepal wanted to have two provinces in Tarai.
