Kathmandu Agni Incorporated, authorised distributor of Mahindra four-wheelers is all set to unveil its latest offering — the all-new KUV100 in the Nepali market on April 4. The Mahindra KUV100 with its aggressive styling and dominating SUV stance remains true to the tough and rugged Mahindra DNA. “KUV100 is a stylish compact SUV and is equipped with unique features,” said Bardan Basnet, Sr General Manager, Sales and Marketing at Agni Incorporated, adding that they are optimistic about its success in Nepal after witnessing its success in India. “People with a keen eye for SUVs are sure to find this vehicle attractive and it can be their entry-level SUV,” he claimed. Citing that the price of the compact SUV has not been finalised yet, he assured that the price would be attractive and reasonable. According to him, the SUV competes with players such as Hyundai Grand i10 and Maruti Suzuki Swift. The entry-level SUV is powered by an all-new mFALCON G80 1198cc petrol engine, the SUV delivers a maximum power of 82 bhp at 5500 rpm and a peak torque of 115 Nm at 3500 to 3600 rpm and offers an impressive mileage of 18.52 kmpl. The Mahindra KUV100 exterior design such as the sculpted and upright bonnet, aggressive grille, sharp body, and unique sunglass wrap-around headlamps, and double-barrel tail lamps, rear fog lamps with chrome accents, stylish roof rails, dual-tone rear bumper and wide tyres with sporty mud-flaps reflects the modern dynamism. With an aggressive front looks and sporty rear spoiler with body side cladding, this SUV has a fresh look. The height-adjustable driver’s seat, cooled glove box, tilt electric power steering, puddle lamps on all doors, LED interior roof lamp and adjustable headrests for all three passengers in the second row are some of the features that ensure comfort. The SUV is enclosed with premium dual tone interiors with piano black inserts and flat-folding rear seat in which six people can comfortably be seated. Its smartly designed under-floor and under-seat storage spaces add more feature to the SUV. The infotainment system with display, shiny plastics for the dashboard, door panels and AC vents are other noticeable features. The Cayman dynamics-tuned suspension delivers car like ride and handling. The KUV100 comes equipped with an independent Macpherson strut front suspension and a semi-independent twist beam rear suspension. The ABS and EBD systems, dual airbags, and automatic hazard lights on panic braking, dual rear fog lamps and engine immobiliser with security alarm are some of the features that enhance the safety quotient of the vehicle. The KUV100 will be available in the attractive shades of pear white, aquamarine, dazzling silver, flamboyant red, fiery orange, and designer grey.
