24 Nepali including 13 children nabbed at Nepal-India border

GAUSHALA: The Indian Seema Surakshya Bal (SSB) arrested 24 people including 13 children from the Nepal-India border in Rautahat on Thursday while they were heading towards India for employment. It has been learned that the SSP with the help of Sitamadhi-based social organisation, Child Line, in Bihar of India nabbed them this morning. The arrestees were from Mahottari, Siraha and Sindhuli. The organisation took the initiative noting that 11 adults among the arrestees were taking other 13 children to India for child labour. Two among the arrestes have the citizenship certificates of both Nepal and India, said an official of SSB, adding they were nabbed for taking the children to India for indecent purpose. All the detainees would be presented before the Child Court in Sitamadhi today. The Children would be handed over to their family members at the same, according to SSB sources.
