E-voting in NC parliamentary party election

KATHMANDU: Main opposition party Nepali Congress (NC) is using electric voting system in its parliamentary party poll scheduled for April 6. An arrangement of e-voting has been made in the NC parliamentary party election, shared Election Committee member Gururaj Ghimire. He informed that the leaders have also accepted the decision of the committee in regard to the use of e-voting this time. The voting will take place from 11.00 am to 2.00 pm and its result will be made public within one hour of the vote, informed another member of the election committee, Surendra Pandey. NC has formed a three-member election committee headed by Ramesh Rijal with Surendra Pandey and Gururaj Ghimire as members for conducting the NC parliamentary party election. Though the election for PP leader is taking place on Wednesday other posts in the working committee of the parliamentary party has been set for April 8. NC PP working committee consists of 25 members. Now the NC has the strength of 207 parliamentarians.
