KATHMANDU: Three women picnickers were robbed their jewellery, gadgets and other valuables from a forest area in the Shivapuri Nagarjun National Park today, police said. Unidentified robbers snatched away a five-aana necklace and a Samsung mobile from Saraswati Lamsal (25)'s possession while her friend Sangam Lamichhane (21) was robbed of her purse. Likewise, a one-tola gold chain which Samjhana Dhakal (23) was wearing was also snatched away along with her mobile phone. The victims told police that there were three of robbers approaching them. Meanwhile, police arrested four suspects in connection to the case. Further investigation is underway. Locals of Baniyatar in Kathmandu had gone to the forest in Budhanilakantha Municipality-5 today for the picnic.
