CHITWAN: The District Land Revenue Office, Chitwan, on Sunday has initiated an online service to help locals get the service more easily. According to DLRO Chief Tanka Prasad Upadhyaya, a website has been launched as a pilot project in four neighbouring VDCs, Saabik Shreepur, Korak, Chandibhanjyang and Kabilaas. If successful, the project would be expanded further to other localities to ease clerical works, he added. Upadhyaya further said that in the next six months, all DLRO works would be carried out online. He added that around 450,000 transactions had already been recorded in their new system. The DLRO Chitwan became the seventh office to go online after Kalanki, Dillibazaar, Dhading, Makawanpur, Bhaktapur and Lalitpur. Director of Information Technology in the Office, Shree Chandra Sah, ensured that the website, developed using the Geographic Information Technology, is completely safe for the transactions.
