Computer engineer held with pistol being smuggled from India to Nepal

RAJBIRAJ: Nepal Police arrested a computer engineer in possession of an automatic pistol from Bishnupur Chok in Saptari district on Tuesday. Police said they had received a tip-off that lethal weapon was being smuggled in from India via Rajbiraj-Sakhada road. The suspect has been identified as Bipin Kumar Jha (23), a resident of Brahamapur VDC in the district. According to the District Police Office, Saptari, they found the pistol from motorcycle-borne Jha's possession, when he was intercepted by the security personnel at Bishnupur. According to DSP Dan Bahadur Karki, Jha has been taken in custody for further investigation.
