2 fires reported in Bhojpur

BHOJPUR: Two incidents of fire were reported in Bhojpur district on Tuesday. Property worth around Rs 500,000 was reduced to ashes when a fire broke out at the house of Talak Pandey in Shyamshila-6 of the district. Police said that Rs 150,000 in cash, various gold ornaments and a solar battery were destroyed in the fire. The fire that spread from a nearby forest destroyed the house of Pandey at around 10:30 am yesterday, it has been learned. The flame was later taken under control with the help of locals and police personnel at around 3 pm, the Bastim Police Post informed. Similarly, a fire that broke out at the house of Maya Rai in Dewantar of the district at around 5 pm destroyed property worth around Rs 700,000. The fire was doused at around 7 pm. Police said that they are looking into both cases.
