Pokhara, April 15 Tribhuvan Army Club defeated Saraswoti Youth Club 3-1 to enter the quarter-finals of the fifth Manakamana Cable Car Pokhara Cup Football Tournament here at the Pokhara Stadium today. Nawayug Shrestha scored a brace and Dhiraj Tamang netted one goal for the TAC, while Susan Lama found the back of the nets for Saraswoti. TAC will now face Ruslan Three Star Club for a place in the last four on Monday. Shrestha put the Armymen ahead with a goal in the 14th minute before Lama levelled the score moments before the first half whistle to go into the break with 1-1 draw. Tamang restored TAC’s lead in the 58th minute before Shrestha scored his second and team’s third goal four minutes before time to seal the victory. Shrestha was named the man-of-the-match. In Saturday’s first quarter-final match, Nepal Police Club will play against Nepal APF Club in the departmental derby.
