KATHMANDU: Finance Minister Bishnu Paudel tabled a proposal at Thursday’s meeting of the Parliament demanding discussion on the principles and priorities of new budget. The House scheduled Friday and Saturday for pre-budget discussions, as per his proposal. Minister Paudel said the budget would give priority to increasing economic growth and investment in big infrastructure projects. President Bidhya Devi Bhandari is set to present policy and programme of the government on Sunday. The government will table the budget on May 28.
