KATHMANDU: Xiaomi has come up with its latest offering — Redmi Note 3 in the Nepali market. The booking of this much-awaited smartphone started since last week and is readily available in the market for Rs 24,999 from May 5. Vatsal Impex, a sister concern of Sharda Group, is the official distributor of Xiaomi in Nepal. Of late, this China based smartphone brand has been gaining popularity in the international market with its innovative products. Since its launch, the smartphone has been exclusively available online through their official website and Kaymu. Worldwide it has garnered the tag of a high performing phone within a budget and surely in Nepal the anticipation has also increased. According to the company source, “As of now, only the 16 GB Redmi Note 3 is available in the country. The company has been overwhelmed with its rising demand, which is why production has not been able to keep up.” Further emphasising the hype in Nepal, he said, “We have received tremendous support with more than 2,000 bookings in the past week.” Citing that its battery life and unique Snapdragon processor helps the phone perform better, he said, “The Redmi Note 3 with the price at Rs 24,999 will surely beat other phones in its range.” The smartphone has a sleek metal body premium finish coupled with 5.5-inch FUII HD display. It has features that stand out such as the 1.8 GHz Snapdragon processor, 2GB RAM, 16GB ROM, micro SD support expandable up to 128GB.
