Speaker Gharti undergoes surgery to remove gallstone

KATHMANDU: Speaker Onsari Gharti underwent surgery to remove stone from her gall bladder on Monday.
She was admitted to Sumeru Hospital in Lalitpur this morning for the surgery, according to the Speaker's press advisor, Basudev Sharma.
The Speaker was not feeling well for some days as the size of gallstone increased.
Dr DB Karki successfully carried out the invasive procedure at the Dhapkhel-based hospital today.
Doctors have told Gharti to take rest in the hospital for some days, a press note released by her secretariat said.
