Pokhara, May 17 CPN-UML General Secretary Ishwor Pokharel today ruled out the possibility of change of government leadership immediately after presentation of the budget for the new fiscal year. Speaking at a press meet organised by Press Chautari Nepal Kaski in Pokhara, Pokharel urged all and sundry not harbour illusion that the incumbent KP Oli-led government would be replaced with a new one after the new budget is presented. “The post of prime minister is not like an object and cannot be handed to another person like an object,” Pokharel said. Pokharel held that the process of forming a new government would kick off as per the political procedure inside the Parliament and earlier agreements reached between the parties. “KP Oli might be prime minister again. Who will be the next head of government will be determined by political consensus,” Pokharel stated. Stating that the game of toppling the incumbent government might start again, Pokharel said that his party would stay alert about any plot hatched by opposition parties to overthrow the government. Pokharel held that Nepal has experienced a series of crises ever since the Constituent Assembly promulgated the new statute. Pokharel said the government would focus on implementation of the new statute after presenting the new fiscal budget.
