Jajarkot, May 18 Two weeks have passed since a bridge was constructed over Rakamkhola along the Chhinju-Jajarkot road section, but it has not come into operation as yet. The non-operation of the bridge, which was completed in a time span of 12 years, is giving a hard time to local commuters. The bridge could not be brought into operation due to a dispute among local political parties over whom to invite for the formal inauguration ceremony of the bridge. The inauguration ceremony was postponed three times owing to the dispute. The Department of Roads has set May 22 for the inaugural ceremony. Local political parties are divided over whether to invite Deputy Prime Minister and Minister for Physical Planning and Infrastructure Construction Bijay Kumar Gachhadar or Home Minister Shakti Bahadur Basnet to inaugurate the bridge.
