Nepal Students Union demo in front of PM's house

KATHMANDU: The Nepal Students Union (NSU) on Monday demonstrated in front of the Prime Minister's official residence in Baluwatar accusing the government of protecting educational mafias and promoting black marketing. The demonstrators chanted slogans as 'Proverb cannot ignite fire to cook' and 'People are finding it hard to live' among others. They carried empty gas cylinders, jars and cooking utensils. NSU Kathmandu President Manoj Vaidya warned of launching a nationwide agitation if the government did not heed their demands. NSU leader Deepak Bhattarai said the government was not concerned towards controlling black marketeering, inflation and activities educational mafia. Another student leader Lila Ballav Dahal accused the government of failing to address the woes of earthquake survivors. READ ALSO:
