KATHMANDU: Prime Minister KP Sharma Oli today asserted that the incumbent government would accomplish tasks which were yet to be imagined by the people. Inaugurating the ninth national general convention of Public Organisation Employees Association Nepal here, PM Oli said the present government despite the earthquake and the blockade among other hurdles had given a sense of a 'living government' by increasing the employees' salary by 25 per cent. The employees serving the country should have clarity and be active, PM Oli stressed, underlining the government's continued effort to resolve the problems of the workers had made it possible to increase the allowance of employees by 25 per cent in midst of the crisis. The PM further added that it was not just a mere dream of developing the country, but a development plan. The PM conceded the difficulties in working with 15 political parties despite the government's preparation to accelerate its work. 'It is difficult to understand that the government is working in a different manner. My own party does not understand this, let alone others,' PM Oli said. The PM spoke of the continuing incidents of people dying after falling from tuins (cable crossings) in the country, and pledged to replace such hazardous devices by the next year. He urged the employees to not be lethargic and procrastinating, and meet the people's expectations by resolving their problems. Association's Chairman Krishna Man Shrestha said the 25 per cent increment in salary has motivated the employees and expressed commitment to end the defects seen in employees' working style. The general convention will be held for two days.
