SYDNEY: Forward Mathew Leckie scored in the third minute of added time on the last kick of the game to give Australia a 1-0 win over Greece in an international friendly on Saturday. In the last minute of regular time, Socceroos veteran Tim Cahill thought he had put the home side ahead when he scored from a corner kick. But the linesman ruled the ball had curled out of the field of play before Cahill's header in front of the net. The match was played on a soggy and bumpy Olympic stadium pitch after more than 75 millimeters (3 inches) of rain fell in the past 24 hours, and more rain fell during the match before 38,362 spectators. The teams play again Tuesday in Melbourne.
