RAUTAHAT: Police in Bara district on Wednesday paraded five persons arrested in connection to abduction of industrialist Suresh Kedia two weeks ago. They kidnapped the prominent industrialist of the region under the command of notorious Indian Bablu Dube, who is currently behind bars in Motihari of India, Nepal Police claimed. One of the suspects is Nepali Congress-aligned Nepal Students Union central member Birendra Yadav, a resident of Mahagadhimai Municipality-2 of Bara district. Likewise, other paraded today are Chanchal Pandey (23) from Kabahi Jabdi, Jiyalal Yadav 'A' (28) from Mahagadhimai-2, Pushkar Chaudhary (40) from Mahagadhimai-1 and Jiyalal Yadav 'B' (36) from Kabahi Jabdi-9. Chief at the Central Regional Police Office DIG Pashupati Upadhyaya said Pandey had communicated with Dube to plan and prepare for the abduction while the NSU leader Yadav had the biggest hand in actualising the plan. The plot was set at Jiyalal Yadav A's relative's house in India a day before the abduction, police informed today. Motive behind the abduction was collecting ransom, according to police. Police said the suspects were presented before the Bara District Court, which remanded them to custody for further investigation. READ ALSO
