2 killed in separate Kaski accidents

POKHARA: Two persons lost their lives in separate accidents in Kaski district on Friday. Police said a 35-years old tractor driver died on the spot after his vehicle (Ga 1 Ta 3383) overturned in Kalika VDC-4 of the district on Friday. Ghanashyam Aryal, chief at Kaski District Police Office, said police identified the deceased as San Bahadur Nepali of Bhagwatipur-2 of Tanahun district. The accident occurred after the tractor lost its balance and turned upside down injuring a minor, who was helping the deceased driver. The 12-year-old Bimal Pariyar from Pokhara-14 is currently undergoing treatment at Pokhara-based Western Regional Hospital. In another incident, a youth was seriously injured after the motorcycle he was riding on, slipped under a speeding tipper in Hemja of Pokhara-14 along the Bhupi Sherchan Highway this afternoon. Police said Santosh Paudel (27) of Pakuwa, Parbat district breathed his last while undergoing treatment at Pokhara-based Manipal Teaching Hospital. Paudel's two-wheeler (Dha 1 Pa 1947) had slipped under the tipper (Ga 1 Kha 4354) heading toward the same direction after its front tyre turned flat. The tipper driver is on the run. Police said they are looking into both cases.
