KANCHANPUR: A woman was killed after lightning struck her in Bhimdutta Municipality of Kanchanpur district on Monday. The deceased has been identified as Deepa Bhatta (22) of Bankheti of Bhimdutta Municipality-5 in the district, according to the District Police Office. Superintendent of Police, Tulasi Prasad Adhikari, said that the incident took place when she was planting paddy saplings. Similarly, Rekha Bhatta (25) of the same place was also injured in the incident and has been receiving treatment at the Mahakali Zonal Hospital.
