KATHMANDU: As part of its corporate social responsibility (CSR), Yeti Airlines has handed over a cheque of Rs 306,023 each to the United Mission to Nepal (UMN), Habitat for Humanity, Blinknow Foundation and World Vision International. The total amount of assistance handed over sums up to Rs 1,224,092, as per a press statement issued on Wednesday. This handover of assistance has been possible with the help of its passengers, on whose behalf Yeti Airlines donates four rupees per flight for a social cause. Till date, Yeti Airlines has provided an assistance of over Rs 1.53 million to various organisations besides the aforementioned organisations. Yeti Group of Companies also separated Rs four million for earthquake response. The airline had assisted with transporting relief materials as well as earthquake victims whenever needed. Yeti Airlines has recently joined hands with Marpha Foundation as its CSR partner to carry out its CSR initiatives. Yeti Airlines also provides social discounts to disabled people (50 per cent), senior citizens (25 per cent), child discount (33.33 per cent), and infant (90 per cent) in all Jetstream-41 sectors.
