KATHMANDU: CPN-Revolutionary Maoist Chairman Mohan Baidya said his party would not unite with other Maoist parties anytime soon. Addressing a press conference organised to make decisions of his party's national cadre gathering public in Kathmandu today, Baidya said the party would not unify neither with CPN Maoist Centre led by Pushpa Kamal Dahal nor with CPN Maoist led by Netra Bikram Chand. According to Baidya, Dahal's party was heading toward rightist neo-reformist and regressive political line while Chand's party also had a different working strategy. 'We are for a new people's revolution while they are talking about power sharing in the name of unified revolution,' Baidya commented on Chand's party, adding that the national gathering decided to strength the political and military strategies of the party. Meanwhile, the party decided to hold a national assembly in February-March next year. The party also demanded that all human rights violation cases from the conflict era be dealt by the Truth and Reconciliation Commission and the Commission of Investigation on Enforced Disappeared Persons and that local elections not be held before concluding the state restructuring. The gathering was held from Monday to Wednesday in the Capital.
