RPP, RPP-Nepal agree for merger

KATHMANDU: Rastriya Prajatantra Party (RPP) and Rastriya Prajatantra Party-Nepal (RPP-N) have agreed to merge the two parties soon. At a meeting held here on Wednesday, RPP Chairman Lokendra Bahadur Chand and RPP-N Chairman Kamal Thapa agreed to make nationality and Hinduism a base for the merger. The unification process has come to a final stage after two sides emerged positive to finalise the party's ideological and policy issues in the upcoming general convention, shared RPP-N Spokesperson Rajaram Shrestha. He further shared that the merger process has been taken ahead in keeping with the need of a strong nationalist force in the current complicated situation of the country.
