19 rescued from flood-hit Tatopani

KATHMANDU: As many as 19 people stranded because of the flood in Bhotekoshi and landslides in Tatopani, near the Nepal-Tibet border, in Sindhupalchok district were rescued by a Nepal Army team on Thursday. According to the NA Directorate of Public Relations, 19 locals of Van Park, Tatopani-4 were airlifted to a safe place in Barhabise of the district. In past one week, several houses have been swept away by the floods. Of around 200 people living in the affected areas, 87 have been rescued by security personnel so far while some dozens headed toward safety on their own. Around 30 to 40 persons are living in the village, waiting for rescue and relief. READ ALSO:
