Kathmandu, July 18 The Federal Alliance today decided that the lawmakers of its constituent parties would vote against Prime Minister KP Sharma Oli when the no-trust motion was put to vote in the Parliament. A two-day meeting of the alliance that concluded here today took the decision to this effect, according to FA Spokesperson Om Gurung. The Parliament is scheduled to begin discussion on the no-confidence motion, jointly filed by CPN-Maoist Centre and the Nepali Congress, on Thursday. Meanwhile, the alliance decided to continue its protest programmes, albeit in a mild form, against the constitution throughout the nation. The alliance issued a press release stating it decided to hold 10 ‘extensive interactions’ across the Tarai from July 20 to September 13. The alliance would hold interactions at Dhangadi, Ghorahi, Butwal, Hetauda, Chandranigahpur, Bardibas, Itahari, Birtamod and Biratnagar. The alliance said its Kathmandu-centric movement had helped promote feeling of national unity among the citizens who remained divided for centuries due to divisive polices of the government. The alliance ended its 38-day relay hunger strike at Khula Manch on Friday.
