KATHMANDU: The second-round talks between the government and a team representing Dr Govinda KC at the Ministry of Health has been postponed with a conclusion to seek experts' advice on demands of the fasting doctor. The meeting conducted this morning has been postponed with a note for the necessity to hold a discussion with experts to resolve the stalemate, said Health Secretary Dr Senendra Raj Upreti, who heads the government talks team. 'Some topics are very difficult, so we have decided to postpone the meeting as we have seen the necessity to seek suggestions from experts for a substantive conclusion,' the Secretary shared, adding, 'Our effort will be to make the next dialogue final.' Dr Ranjan Kumar Sapkota, Coordinator of the talks team representing Dr KC, said the discussion on a major issue, however, could not take place despite a comparative progress. 'We are trying to come close to an agreement,' Sapkota said, 'They have asked for time to hold consultation with experts, so we have agreed to hold another dialogue at 7 pm today.' Both the sides are positive to reach a conclusion today.
