PHSC completes hearing on one more ambassadorial nominee

KATHMANDU: The Parliamentary Hearing Special Committee (PHSC) on Thursday carried out hearing on one more ambassadorial nominee. The hearing was held on the nomination of Lok Bahadur Thapa, Joint Secretary at the Ministry of Foreign Affairs. Thapa has been recommended as the Nepal's Ambassador to Belgium. On the occasion, Thapa said that it would be his first priority to further strengthen Nepal's diplomatic relations with the 27 countries in the European Union and Belgium. Earlier, the PHSC had carried out hearing on seven of the nominees. The government had recommended 22 names for appointment as Nepali ambassadors to various countries. Hearing on eight ambassadorial nominees has been completed as of today. READ ALSO
