3 Nepali Congress leaders to join Dahal Cabinet today

KATHMANDU: The Nepali Congress is sending three leaders of the party as members of the Cabinet led by newly elected Prime Minister Pushpa Kamal Dahal today. NC leaders Bimalendra Nidhi, Arjun Narsingha KC and Ramesh Lekhak are likely to take the oath of office and secrecy after the latter would be sworn in by President Bidya Devi Bhandari this afternoon. It has been learned that Nidhi would be made the Deputy Prime Minister with the Home portfolio. KC and Lekhak would get the Defence and Physical Infrastructure and Transport ministries respectively. On the other hand, the CPN Maoist Centre would also send some of its leaders to the Cabinet today. While, the Maoist leader Krishna Bahadur Mahara would be inducted as another Deputy Prime Minister; other leaders joining the Cabinet are yet to be confirmed. Meanwhile, PM Dahal is scheduled to take the oath of office and secrecy from the President at 3 pm today.
