KHOTANG: Police recently arrested an absconding suspect of an assault case from Matim-7 in Khotang district. Police nabbed Gokarna Rai of Matim who had beaten his neighbour Dip Bahadur Khatri under the influence of alcohol on July 7. DSP Bidhya Nanda Majhi of the District Police Office, khotang, said that Rai was arrested based on a complaint lodged by Khatri's family members, a day after the incident. Rai along with his four friends had attacked Khatri with stones and lathis over a minor dispute, police informed. Khatri has been airlifted to Kathmandu after the treatment was not possible at the District Hospital, Khotang, informed the family members. Police said that they are searching for other suspects.
