Dr Govinda KC continues serving Saptari flood victims

RAJBIRAJ: Senior orthopaedic surgeon of the Tribhuvan University Teaching Hospital, Dr Govinda KC, who had reached Tilathi of Saptari on Saturday to assist the flood victims avoid epidemics, has been providing health facilities to them for the past two days. Besides check-ups, Dr KC has been spreading awareness about effects of muddy floodwaters, impure drinking water on human health and waterborne diseases. 'Dr KC has been carrying out regular check-ups, counselling the flood victims and providing medicines to them. Even people from nearby Indian state of Bihar have come to receive treatment from him,' informed a local, Rateshwor Jha, Another local Roshan Jha said that if all the doctors working in the government hospitals worked like him, no Nepali would be deprived of health facilities. Many patients who received the treatment believe that Dr KC did not only provide health services, but also healed the wounded hearts. The senior orthopaedic surgon had also inspected various flood-hit areas of the district.
