MILAN: Inter Milan says it hired Frank de Boer as coach on a three-year contract to replace Roberto Mancini. Inter says in a statement the former Netherlands player will attend a news conference later Tuesday. De Boer arrived in Milan on Monday when Mancini left Inter by mutual consent after less than two years of his second spell with the club. Inter placed fourth in Serie A last season, and led at mid-season before fading to finish out of the Champions League qualifying places. De Boer said in May he would leave Ajax after winning four league titles in almost six seasons at the Dutch club, where he starred as a defender and played on the 1995 Champions League-winning team.
