Maoist Centre lets PM Dahal choose ministers from party

KATHMANDU: A meeting of the CPN Maoist Centre's central office on Tuesday entrusted the party chairman and Prime Minister Pushpa Kamal Dahal with the authority to choose new ministers from the party in the coalition government. The meeting was held at the Prime Minister's official residence in Baluwatar. Also the central office's meeting decided to reschedule the meeting of party's general convention organising committee. Besides the Prime Minister, there are currently three ministers  -- Krishna Bahadur Mahara as Deputy Prime Minister with Ministry of Finance, Gauri Shankar Tharu as Minister for Agricultural Development and Daljit Shreepaili as Miniter for Youth and Sports -- from the Maoist Centre in Cabinet, two from Nepali Congress, two from Rastriya Prajantra Party and one from CPN (United). (Update) Maoist Centre Central Office meeting underway KATHMANDU: The Central Office meeting of the CPN Maoist Centre is underway at the Prime Minister's official residence in Baluwatar on Tuesday to finalise names of Ministers from the party. So far, the CPN Maoist Centre had sent three of its leaders to represent party in the Cabinet. Krishna Bahadur Mahara was picked for Deputy Prime Minister and Minister for Finance. Similarly, Gauri Shankar Tharu and Daljit Shreepaili were picked for the Ministry of Agricultural Development and Ministry of Youth and Sports respectively. READ ALSO
