“Try to fail but don’t fail to try.” This proverb has motivated me a lot. It is indeed true that we sometimes fail despite our best efforts. The success that comes after failure helps us to bring about drastic changes making one energized. There is possibly no one in this entire world who has never experienced some kind of failure in his or her life. The best success comes after disappointments. Don’t forget that Abraham Lincoln lost the election many times before he became the president. Thomas Edison failed often which consequently turned him into a successful person. There are endless examples of such people who inspire us with the motto “Failure is the key to success.” If people had stopped trying after failing many times then we wouldn’t have been able to come this far--we would still be in the Stone Age. I recall an incident during my school life. It was on the day of national speech competition. It was the first time I was addressing such a huge mass. I had practised a lot. I went on quite smoothly but all of a sudden I went blank. I felt embarrassed so I ended my speech. Despite trying so hard, I failed to give a good speech. This was one of my biggest failures. This failure made me realize the importance of mistakes and taught me a lesson about how to deal with failures. This failure made me able to become a good speaker. In my life, I have come across various incidents when I fail despite my best efforts. So, I take failure as a part of life. It is important to stress the positive significance of failures. Failures teach us valuable lessons of life that help us mature fast, gain valuable experience of not repeating the mistakes and contribute towards developing an insight to understand and identify things and people around us more critically and objectively. Failures increase our mental age and if taken positively is a blessing in disguise. Thus, failures are not our foes rather they are our closest friends that teach us various lessons in a subtle way. It is important that we analyse our mistakes and correct them. We must take failure as a crusading zeal and commitment towards success. Every failure we face brings us one step closer to our dream. We are the master of our success and reason for our failure. So, let’s be active and optimistic. Hard work, determination and persistence are what matter. Remember failure can make a great difference.
