Nepal sending DPM Nidhi to India, DPM Mahara to China

KATHMANDU: The Cabinet on Thursday decided to send two Deputy Prime Ministers to the neighbouring countries - Bimalendra Nidhi to India and Krishna Bahadur Mahara to China - as Prime Minister Pushpa Kamal Dahal's special emissaries. The date of their visits, however, is yet to be fixed. The DPM duo would meet political leaders and government officials in New Delhi and Beijing. Pushpa Kamal Dahal-led coalition government aims at building good relationship with both India and China through the high-profile visits. Other decisions Meanwhile, the Cabinet directed the Ministry of Home Affairs and the Ministry of Commerce to take initiatives to control inflation, black marketing, artificial shortage and adulteration of consumables in the market. Likewise, the Ministry of Law, Justice and Parliamentary Affairs has been directed to prepare a proposal to amend existing laws for the same end.
