BHOJPUR: A youth died and his father sustained critical injuries after being struck by lightning in Dharan of Sunsari district on Monday afternoon. The father-son duo were returning home on a bike when they were hit by the bolt at Sakhuwagachhi at around 1:30 yesterday afternoon. Critically  injured in the incident, Adhiraj Rai (21) and Bala Bahadur Rai were sent to Dharan-based BP Koirala Institute of Health Sciences for treatment, according to the Biratnagar-based Eastern Regional Police Office. The 21-year-old Adhiraj, however, breathed his last during the course of treatment. His father, who was on pillion ride, is receiving treatment, said police.
